Uganda’s Entebbe Airport to Undergo Shs42.6b ($12.6m) Expansion

Entebbe International Airport’s will from the June 2016 to December 2017 undergo a Shs42.6b ($12.6m) expansion of its departure and arrival terminals, Uganda’s Works Minister John Byabagambi has revealed.

This however is independent from the $200 million expansion works on the airport launched by President Museveni in August last year, which includes the expansion of the terminal buildings, building more aero bridges, a cargo centre that could be 10 times bigger than the existing one.

The project which will be fully funded by money generated from Civil Aviation Authority will be carried out by Seyani Brothers, a family co-owned construction enterprise founded in Kenya in 1978 with an impressive track record in Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda.
