Kotoka International Airport to Build New Terminal 3 and Extended Terminal 2

Ghana’s main airport Kotoka International Airport situated in the capital Accra will undergo a $292 million infrastructure development.

The project being spearheaded by the Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL), which runs all airports in Ghana, covers the extension of Terminal 2 at a cost of US$42 million and the construction of Terminal 3 at US$250 million.

On completion both terminals will have the capacity to handle 7.5 million passengers annually.

Terminal 3 is expected to become operational in July 2017 while Terminal 2 which has remained open during the extension will officially open before the end of the year.
